BuckeyeStrong™ Assemblies

Our BuckeyeStrong™ Doors are double framed and triple thick with over 200 specially plated screws.  These heavy-duty doors are supported by a full length, industrial grade aluminum piano hinge.  No need to worry about your doors sagging or about your hinges rusting!  In addition, the door handle is a chromed locking "L" handle which comes with two keys.

Our BuckeyeStrong™ Rafter Assembly procedure embeds multi-toothed steel plates into both sides of each joint (like house trusses) using 20,000 pounds of pressure; the strongest accepted method of the American Building Code standards.  This insures your rafter will be unsurpassed for durability.  In addition, we use 1x10 pine boards for roof sheathing...we do not use OSB or plywood roof sheathing.  And, every roof comes with a shingle over ridge vent which works very effectively with the inlcuded soffit vents.

The BuckeyeStrong™ Floor System consists of heavy pressure treated 4"x4" supports (or 4"x6" supports on buildings over 16' long) no more than 24" on center with 1"x6" tongue and groove plank flooring. The only exception is the Kentucky Cabin Standard which features 2"x4" floor joists 24" on center with the 4"x4" or 4"x6" supports with variable spacing underneath. A 2"x4" support is installed across both ends for strength and appearance, as well as to keep animals out from underneath. All materials touching the ground are 100% pressure treated to protect against termites and decay and comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.  Even though this floor system is stronger than many 2" floors, a 2" tongue and groove treated floor is available as an upgrade (not recommended for standard use, please ask sales representative for additional information). If a concrete floor is desired, the price of wooden floor is deleted, additional pressure treated 2"x4" bottom plates are added to the walls, and Buckeye Barns will use concrete anchors to attach the building to your existing concrete pad.
